Paslode IM250A Nailers

Paslode IM250A fasteners may be the greatest innovation of their kind since the cordless drill. The Paslode Angled Finish Nailer is such an excellent, efficient tool that I don’t even mind the noise it makes, though my dog may feel differently.

I always wear ear protection when I use it, just as I do with my chop saw, and the noise that the saw makes is much more disruptive than that of the Paslode Angled Finish Nailer.

Since I have yet to find ear protection for dogs, I send my dog to visit neighbors or do some hauling. The Paslode Angled Finish Nailer will shoot 1 1/4" to 2 1/2" 16 gauge nails. It is not "bump" fired, but shoots nails rapidly.

The nose of the gun can be placed carefully just about anywhere and cut loose a nail, so bump firing is really not needed. It is still a very safe tool when used properly. You’re not likely to be able to shoot a nail into your knee using this tool.

It has been several months since I purchased my Paslode Angled Finish Nailer , and I can tell you the 6 or 7 dollars apiece for gas cartridges and operational costs, as well as the high price of the tool itself, are well worth the benefits it provides.

Just consider the time it takes to set up and wait around for your compressor to get started, and how cumbersome it is to lug it upstairs. Consider, too, how amazingly fast this gun is, and that it is ready for use in mere seconds. You can extend the rechargeable battery life simply by pulling it out just a little bit when you aren’t expecting to use the gun soon.

This trick seems to keep the battery going for a week or so longer. You must take the same measures to be safe and keep your Paslode Angled Finish Nailer working properly that you would take with any other nailer. Check to make sure that no long nails remain in the feed when you need to use short ones, and clean the tool from time to time.
