Bostitch MIII Nailers

 

 

The Bostitch MIII Nail Gun, is one of the most versatile tools that can be found to place any type of wood or bamboo flooring in place. It matters not if the hardness or softness of the wood, whether it is thick or thin, or if it's dense, none of this is in question.

It does need to be stated that the flooring product should have a tongue and groove edge as this is needed to give a good secure fit and it also allows you to hide the fastener. The Bostitch MIII Nail Gun is angled at a 45-degree to allow the fastener to be applied at the correct angle.

It uses pneumatic pressure to set the fastener, its runs smooth and efficiently and the work goes fast. It is for heavy use projects, as it is weighted and has substantial mass. I do remodeling in older homes and the need for heavy use of the floor gun is required to complete the work.

 

Now a good many of these older homes have the rough sub-flooring which need some additional help. This tool helps to give a nice tight, firm fit by pulling together the all the pieces. To prevent, floor squeaks, adequate fasteners need to be applied to keep it tight. It has worked as well on 5/8 inch bamboo and 3/4 inch red oak to name a few.

This tool is very likable in the sense that it can be used as a stapler, a nail gun, or for cleats. I've used it for crown moulding, base board, and other projects. It is one of my most used tools. I've recently used this with an extension handle that allows one to successfully lay in a thin bamboo floor & it has excelled its performance in that one aspect.
